God is not the bad guy

Isaiah 55 shows us that God desires for us to be happy and satisfied beyond our wildest dreams. God isn't a cosmic killjoy trying to make us miserable at the first sign of happiness.

Dispensationalism’s Most Egregious Error

I wrote a bit about this a while back, but was reminded of the importance of this yesterday. A friend of mine was preaching since our pastor was out of town, and he spoke on Hebrews 10:11-18. He didn't address Dispensationalism, but this immediately came to mind.

Confession

Our Sunday morning worship liturgy lately has included reading extensive portions from the Psalms, especially in relation to confession of sin. One thing that has started to stick out to me is how different the confessions of sin that David makes are from the confessions that I make.
