Water in the River?! (updated)
Since we’ve been in Tucson, we’ve never noticed more than a trickle of water in the Rillito River (which runs across town towards the north). In fact, the River is primarily populated with lots of desert bushes, litter, and the occasional shopping cart. The last few days, however, have been quite different.

I recently came across a tool (Mac HelpMate) for Macintosh support professionals that should prove to be extremely useful, to the point where it should offset the not-so-cheap subscription price.On the surface, this app is similar to a number of other apps (most of them free) that let the user run a variety of maintenance tasks that aren’t easy for the average user to figure out how to run manually. Even those who do know how to run them often use these utilities to speed things up.
Shaving
Over the past few months, I’ve been becoming less and less satisfied with the quality of shave provided by my electric razor. The first thing I considered was buying a different type of razor (one that uses foils instead of a rotary version). That was a pretty heavy investment, however, especially since I wanted one that was self cleaning and didn’t have a NiCad battery.
