And I don’t mean Politically Correct.

I’m sitting at the airport at my gate, and I’m surrounded by other laptop users (we’ve used up all available outlets for charging purposes). Unlike me, however, all of these gentlemen are using PC laptops. I have to feel sorry for them as they sit around using their laptops that are much bulkier than mine, but can’t accomplish anything mine can’t. In fact, from a cursory glance, my slender machine is more capable than any of theirs. Also, I’m sure some of them cost more than mine, and weigh twice as much, with the same size screen.

To top it off, these unfortunate gentlemen are all using Windows. Even if my computer cost more than theirs, it’s well worth it to not have to spend my time doing things like re-installing the operating system (while in rare cases this can be required on a Mac, it is not nearly as likely to be necessary as it is with a PC), fighting Virus outbreaks, looking in obscure places for settings, and staring at an atrocious Fisher-Price-like GUI.

Although some of them may be using Linux, in which case they have the advantage of having an underlying Unix-like core (as do I on my Mac), but they have the disadvantage of having a GUI that is more atrocious than Windows. These gentlemen spend their time fixing hardware incompatibilities.

Another Mac user just showed up. I also discovered that one of the PC users was sharing iTunes music, but I couldn’t connect. His firewall port probably wasn’t open.
