Desiring God is an often startling look at the attitude that we should have towards pleasure. Far from wanting us to be morose, God wants us to seek the ultimate pleasure and satisfaction. Of course this satisfaction is found, not in the gifts that God provides, but in God himself.

In this excellent book, John Piper shows that this is, in fact, a theme that runs throughout the Bible. This book had a great impact on my life when I read it in college, and I highly recommend it.
