Bacon and chocolate is not a combination that would have readily jumped into my head, but I do love my bacon, so I gave it a shot.

We don't get to AJ's much, but we went there the other day because we were in the area and we wanted to get some cane sugar based birch beer. While we were there we decided to get Adina some dark chocolate, since they have some good options available.

While looking at the chocolates, I noticed Mo's Bacon Bar. I'd seen this before online, but here it was sitting in front of me. The price was ridiculously high–$6.49 for a 3 oz bar–but I had to try it at least once. Yes, this chocolate bar does contain actual pieces of cooked bacon mixed in with the chocolate. No fake flavoring here.

Normally I tend to eat dark chocolate and avoid the lighter stuff, but I guess they decided the dark chocolate would overpower the bacon flavor or something as this is only 41% cacao (they do use darker chocolate for some of the other flavors.)

I really enjoyed this chocolate bar. The sweetness of the chocolate fades away into the saltiness of the bacon as opposed to both flavors hitting fully at the same time. The experience is very tasty and quite delightful.

The price, as I've mentioned, is high enough that I may never buy this again. If I do, it will only be as a rare treat. I highly recommend it, though, for anybody who can afford it.
